This coming September, Jay Bargmann, Vice President of Rafael Viñoly Architects will speak at the International Lab Design Conference in Madrid, Spain. The inaugural event will focus on global challenges, design, and sustainability of laboratory facilities in U.S., European, and other international markets.
Mr. Bargmann’s talk will explore the principles that characterize the planning and design of the firm’s research building projects that support complex, interdisciplinary, collaborative and changing research activities. Mr. Bargmann will also present methodologies that quantify the research, office and collaborative space requirements for a flexible, integrated research environment as well as a system that will lead directly from the space requirements to the construction and operation of flexible, integrated research environments.
